Just bouncing around my neighborhood, keeping my eyes peeled for the odd & beautiful.
There’s a treat at the end for the patient viewers. That’s not a gimmick to get people to watch my video — these clips are all presented chronologically, so when I got the last shot, I went home. It’s like they say: your keys are always in the last place you think to look.
Shot with my schmancy new Nikon D90, through various lenses (Tamron 28-300 VC, Nikon 70-300 + Canon 500D closeup, Nikon 18-70, Tamron 18-250).
Music: Cyro Baptista – Ama
It’s settled: the just-announced D90 is the camera for me. I mean, c’mon, high-def movies from an SLR? Are you kidding me?!? I can’t wait.

I finally replaced my lost cell phone. If you tried calling me in the last few days, please disregard the message you heard about my disconnected line — I’m reconnected, hopefully for good.
For what it’s worth, the new phone is an LG enV 2. It’s got nice fat buttons on the outside for regular calling & a full keyboard inside for everything else. I had used my last phone (Chocolate 2) as a tiny boombox way more often than I’d expected, and this guy has stereo speakers for that. Battery life should be off the charts, if the specs are accurate. Photos & videos are both slightly less awful than before.
All apologies to the precious few of you that were expecting wonderful pictures & videos from last night’s shindig. As it turned out, the grilling & drinking & kickballing got in the way of the documenting. Maybe next year I’ll try to have less fun & take more pictures instead.
Spent the day updating BenSeese.com’s behind-the-scenes blogging software to the modern era, and then decided it was time for a new paint job at the same time. I do plan to switch out the bus photo; it was the first one I stumbled across that worked in super-wide black&white. Whadya think so far?
